School Medicaid Expansion

For many newcomers, School Medicaid still appears to be a program primarily associated with special education services, but that picture is changing. We'll explain the traditional IDEA-based model, the federal Free Care policy change, subsequent CMS guidance, and why states now have greater opportunities to expand covered students, providers, and services. We'll look at how states are approaching expansion differently and what those decisions mean for districts, providers, billing companies, and state agencies. Attendees will gain both the historical foundation needed to understand expansion and a framework for following changes occurring in their own states.
