The Connected School Health Office

School health information has traditionally lived in separate systems that often require people to enter, retrieve, or reconcile the same information repeatedly. Increasingly, schools are connecting electronically with student information systems, immunization registries, healthcare providers, public health agencies, and other data sources. We'll examine what interoperability actually means, where it can reduce administrative burden, and how standards and technologies such as APIs, FHIR, and health information exchanges may eventually affect School Medicaid. Attendees do not need a technical background; the goal is to understand why connected data matters to providers, districts, state agencies, billing companies, and the future of school health.
